GLAZED APPLE BREAD 
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs, well beaten
1 c. finely chopped raw apples
1/4 c. chopped nuts
2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder

GLAZE:

1/4 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 tbsp. hot water

Cream shortening, sugar, vanilla and salt together until light and fluffy. Beat 2 eggs, raw apples, nuts, flour and baking powder into other ingredients. Pour batter into well greased 9 x 5 x 4 inch loaf pan. Bake in 325 degree oven for 50-60 minutes. Cool and remove bread from pan. Pour glaze over bread.
