GLAZED APPLE BUTTER ROLLS 
DOUGH:

1/4 c. shortening
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/4 c. sugar
2/3 c. milk
4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten

Cut shortening into dry ingredient mixture until like a coarse meal, adding egg, combined with milk, stirring until moist. Place on flour board, knead and thin roll out.

FILLING:

2/3 c. apple butter
1/2 c. coarsely cut nuts
1/2 c. sugar

Spread with apple butter, nuts and sugar. Roll them lengthwise. Cut in 1" slices, put on greased pan and bake at 450 degrees about 10 minutes, or until golden brown. Then glaze.

GOLDEN GLAZE:

1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 tsp. orange juice
Drop of yellow food coloring

Stir glaze ingredients together.
