SOUR CREAM DROP COOKIES 
COOKIE INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup shortening (Crisco)
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 cup nuts
2 eggs
1 cup dairy sour cream
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

FILLING INGREDIENTS:

6 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
Hot water

Note: May substitute for dairy sour cream, 1 cup evaporated milk and 1 tablespoon vinegar.

Mix together all cookie ingredients; drop on cookie sheet. Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes.

For icing the cookies, cook butter until brown, then add confectioners' sugar and enough hot water for a smooth consistency. Spread on cookies.
