1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
3 1/2 - 4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. sour cream with 1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

In mixing bowl cream together with mixer the butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla, salt and baking powder. Then add sour cream mixture. Then add flour, enough so that you get a good dough texture. Chill dough for at least 1 hour so it can be rolled out and cut with cookie cutters. Top with sprinkles if desired. Bake cookies at 375 degrees until brown around edges.
