HO HO CAKE
1 chocolate fudge cake mix
5 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
1 cube butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar

FROSTING:

1 cube butter
1 egg
3 sq. semi-sweet chocolate
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 tbsp. hot water
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar

Mix cake as directed following high altitude directions if needed. Spread in a large greased cookie sheet with 1 inch sides. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes. Let cool.

Filling: Cook until thick the flour and milk. I put in the blender 1st to make smooth. Let cool, then put in mixing bowl with cube butter, 1/2 cup shortening and 1 1/2 cup sugar. Beat on high for about 10 minutes until light and fluffy. Spread over cake to about 1/4 inch from edge of pan. Chill in refrigerator or freezer.

Frosting: Melt the cube of butter and semi-sweet chocolate together in microwave. (I have substituted semi-sweet chocolate chips for squares). Cool slightly, then add egg, vanilla, hot water and powdered sugar. Beat smooth by hand. Spread over cake and filling to edge of pan. Keep refrigerated until served. This is a family favorite and never stays around to get old. Sure to be a big hit with everyone!

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
