HAMBURGER CHOWDER | |
2 lbs. hamburger 1 can tomatoes 1 c. celery 3 c. potatoes 1/2 c. barley 3 tsp. salt 1 onion, chopped 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato juice 1 c. carrots 6 c. water 2 cloves pressed garlic 1 1/2 tsp. pepper Brown meat and onion together and drain. In small pan, boil carrots and celery for 5 minutes in water. Drain and add to pan with meat and onion. Add all other ingredients and stir. Cook with the lid on and simmer 1 hour. Total preparation time 1 1/2 hours. |
