POPPY SEED CABBAGE 
1 lg. head of red cabbage
2 white or yellow onions
Red wine vinegar
Poppy seeds
Olive oil
sugar

Slice onion rings thin and saute in 2 tablespoons of olive oil until wilted (not brown). Add sliced cabbage and saute with 2 tablespoons of olive oil for 1-2 minutes. Sprinkle in tablespoon of vinegar. Cover and simmer on low heat until cabbage wilts. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of poppy seeds and 2-3 teaspoons of sugar. Serve warm. "Great with pork dishes."
