HOMEMADE CHILI | |
1 lb. lean ground beef 1/2 lb. country sausage 2 c. chopped onions 1 c. chopped bell pepper 2 tbsp. safflower oil 1/2 c. chili powder 16 oz. can tomatoes 16 oz. can kidney beans Saute sausage and beef. Drain off fat and reserve. Stir fry onions and bell pepper in oil in large pot. Add meat mixture, tomatoes and chili powder. Stir and let simmer. Check for taste. Add salt and black pepper and more chili if needed. Serve with heated beans on plate of hot long grain rice. |
