TIPSY SWEET POTATOES | |
3/4 c. sugar 3 tbsp. cornstarch 1 1/2 c. water 1/3 c. butter 3 tbsp. bourbon 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 6 med. sweet potatoes, boiled, peeled, sliced Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease 6" x 10" x 1 1/2" baking pan. In a saucepan combine sugar and cornstarch. Gradually stir in water to make a smooth paste. Add butter, bourbon, cinnamon and nutmeg; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sauce is thickened and smooth. Arrange potatoes in pan; cover with sauce. Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes. |
