APPLESAUCE CAKE 
4 c. flour
1/2 tbsp. nutmeg
4 tbsp. cinnamon
1/2 tbsp. cloves
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. oil
4 tsp. baking soda
2 c. hot water
2 c. hot applesauce
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. juice of orange
1/4 c. juice of lemon
1 c. chocolate chips

Sift together flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves. Dissolve baking powder in hot water and add applesauce. Cream oil and sugar. Add eggs one at a time and beat. Add flour mixture and applesauce mixture alternately, mixing well. Mix juices and nuts. Pour into greased and floured 9x13 inch pan. Top batter with 1 cup chocolate chips. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes and 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until done.
