BASIC COOKIE MIX | |
1 1/2 c. butter (3 sticks) 1 tbsp. salt 2 tsp. baking powder 6 c. flour Mix all together until has texture of pie crust. Keeps for 1 month in refrigerator. BUTTERBALLS: 2 c. basic cookie mix 1/2 c. sugar 2 tbsp. butter 1 tsp. vanilla 1 egg 1/2 c. nuts, chopped Powdered sugar Mix all ingredients together except the nuts and powdered sugar. Dough will be very stiff. Add the nuts and shape into 1 inch balls. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets for 11 to 16 minutes at 375 degrees. Cool and roll in powdered sugar. BLOSSOMS: 2 c. basic cookie mix 1 egg 1 c. brown sugar 1/3 c. Crisco 1/2 c. peanut butter 1/2 tsp. vanilla Candy kisses Blend all ingredients together (except the candy kisses) to make a smooth dough. Shape into 1 inch balls and roll in sugar. Bake 8 minutes on ungreased sheet at 375 degrees. Remove from oven and top with candy kiss, return to oven for 2 minutes. SUGAR COOKIES: 2 c. basic cookie mix 1 egg 1/2 c. sugar 3/4 tsp. vanilla Mix 1 cup of mix with other ingredients, blend well. Add remaining cup of mix and knead. Roll in flour to desired thickness and cut into shapes. Bake on lightly greased cookie sheet for 5 to 8 minutes at 400 degrees. |
