2 eggs
2/3 c. liquid shortening
2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Beat eggs slightly with a fork. Stir into the shortening and vanilla. Add sugar, blend until mixture thickens. Sift remaining ingredients together. Add to eggs mixture. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Dip bottom of glass into additional shortening and sugar. Flatten each cookie. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 minutes. May decorate with colored sugar. Makes 3 dozen.
