TAMALE PIE 
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 tbsp. shortening
1 lb. ground round
1 can cream style corn
1 (2 1/2) can tomatoes
Salt to taste
1 tbsp. chili powder
2 tbsp. Grandma's Spanish Seasoning
1 can tomato sauce
1 c. yellow corn meal
1 c. ripe olives

Cook garlic and onion in shortening until tender. Add meat and brown slightly. Add corn, tomatoes, sauce and seasonings. Simmer for 20 minutes. Add corn meal gradually. Pour into buttered casserole, adding olives. Bake in 350 degree oven 30 minutes.
