FIG STRAWBERRY PRESERVES 
3 c. mashed figs
3 c. sugar
1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jello

Peel figs if preferred. Mix together mashed figs, sugar and dry Jello in large pan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Heat for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour into jars and seal. After jars are cooled it is better to put in the refrigerator or cool place and use as soon as possible.
