PUMPKIN DESSERT RING CAKE 
1 2/3 c. sifted flour
1 1/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 lg. egg, unbeaten
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/3 c. soft shortening
1/3 c. water
1/3 c. nuts, chopped
2/3 c. raisins, optional
1 c. pumpkin

TOPPING:

3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. brown sugar
Chopped nuts

Sift all dry ingredients including spices into bowl. Add shortening, water, nuts, raisins and pumpkin. Beat well. Add egg and beat again. Put in angel food cake pan or large loaf pan. Top with combined topping ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
