3 egg whites
24 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. lemon rinds (optional)

Mix ingredients very well. Let stand 1 minute. Grease pan(s) and heat oven to 250 degrees. Spoon out mixture in small amounts to form "mountain" heaps. Put in oven for 10-20 minutes. Take out of oven. Decorating is optional.

Note: One egg equals 8 tablespoons of sugar.
