TWINKIE CAKE | |
1 baked yellow cake mix (two 8 or 9 inch layers) 1 c. milk 5 tbsp. flour 1/2 c. Crisco shortening 1/2 c. butter 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt Cool or freeze each layer. Split each layer (4 layers). Set aside. Mix milk and flour; cook until thick; cool. Mix remaining ingredients into cooled mixture. Whip until creamy and spread between each layer of cake. May use chocolate cake for Suzy Q cake. |
