APRICOT BREAD 
1 c. dried apricots, chopped
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1 egg, well beaten
1/4 c. sugar, mixed in 1/2 c. orange juice
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped nuts

Soak apricots for 20 minutes and drain. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Add orange juice and sugar mixture. Add dry ingredients and blend well. Stir in apricots and nuts.

Bake in a greased and floured pan at 325°F for 45 minutes to an hour.
