3/4 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking powder 3/4 c. sugar 5 eggs, separated Beat egg yolks with 1 teaspoon vanilla until lemon-colored. Add 1/2 cup of the sugar to yolks and beat again until well blended. Beat egg whites until stiff. Add rest of sugar until well blended. Fold egg yolk mixture into whites. Fold in dry ingredients. Grease 13x17 inch baking sheet, cover with waxed paper, grease again and flour. Spread mixture over baking sheet and bake at 325 degrees for 17 minutes. Invert baked roll over dampened and sprinkled with powdered sugar dish towel. Remove waxed paper and roll (wide side). When cool, spread with your favorite filling. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. |
