QUICK AND EASY PIE CRUST 
One 9 inch crust. Sift 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt (resift) with a pastry blender, work in 1/2 cup 70 % shortening until grain in the mixture is pea size. (Stir in 1 tablespoon at a time! 3 tablespoons cold water) until mixture holds together. Pat it evenly into the pie pan. Bake at 425 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Put holes into the crust with a fork. Cool before adding filling.
