7 - UP POUND CAKE | |
3 sticks butter 3 c. sugar 5 eggs 3 c. all-purpose flour 2 tsp. lemon extract 3/4 c. 7-Up soda Cream butter and sugar with electric mixer for 20 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time and mix well. Gradually add flour and beat well. Lastly add lemon extract and 7-Up and when mixed pour into a well oiled Bundt or angel food cake pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/4 hours. Let cake cool before removing from pan. The taste of the cake improves if baked the day before serving. This cake freezes well. Serves 12. |
