BANANA SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 
3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 sticks softened butter, cut up
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 tbsp. solid veg. shortening
6 eggs
1/2 pt. sour cream
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. lemon extract
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1 c. mashed ripe bananas

Mix flour, sugar and baking soda. Beat in butter until mixture is crumbly. Beat in shortening, eggs and sour cream. Continue beating 5 minutes. add flavoring and bananas and beat 20 minutes longer. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Grease and flour tube pan or two 9 x 5 inch loaf pans. Fill pans 3/4 full. Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake 90 minutes or until a sharp knife inserted deep into cake comes out clean. Let cool 5 minutes, then remove from pan. Your favorite nuts, i.e. walnuts, black walnuts or almonds can be added to batter.
