BANANA SOUR CREAM CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
4 ripe bananas, mashed
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. confectioners' sugar
Juice of 2 lemons

Cream shortening and sugar in bowl. Add the eggs and mix well. Mix the flour and soda. Add to the creamed mixture alternately with sour cream. Stir in the vanilla and fold in the bananas and nuts. Place in tube pan. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour or until done.

Mix confectioners' sugar and lemon juice and drizzle over cake. Place a ring of thinly sliced bananas dipped in lemon juice in a circle around cake, if desired.
