RAISIN TOFFEE BARS 
1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
2 eggs
2 c. 40% Bran flakes cereal
1 c. raisins
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and set aside. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well. Stir in Bran flakes and raisins. Add flour mixture until thoroughly combined.

Spread evenly in greased 9x9x2 baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees about 35 minutes. Cool in pan on wire rack and frost with confectioners' sugar icing. Sprinkle with nuts and coconut if desired. Cut into bars.
