CONFECTIONERS' SUGAR POUND CAKE 
3 sticks butter
1 lb. confectioners' sugar
6 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. sifted flour

Oven temperature 325 degrees. Bake 1 hour in tube pan. Have butter and eggs at room temperature before starting cake. Cream butter in bowl; then beat in the sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition; then beat in vanilla and gradually beat in flour.

Pour into well greased tube pan and bake slowly for 1 hour or until cake springs back at the touch of a finger.
