1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. nuts, optional
1 c. mini marshmallows
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chocolate chips
1 c. brown sugar

Cream shortening, sugar, 1 egg, plus 2 egg yolks (save whites). Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Combine 2 mixtures and spread in greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Sprinkle nuts, chips and marshmallows over batter. Beat egg whites with brown sugar and pour over bars. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
