KOLACKY 
2 c. water
1/2 c. butter
1 lg. cake yeast (2 oz.)
1 well-beaten egg
1 tsp. salt
7-8 c. flour

Add yeast to warm water with the sugar. Stir in 1 cup of flour. Add egg, salt, and butter; mix well, adding flour until a soft not sticky dough can be easily handled. Knead dough about 10 minutes. Place in greased bowl. Cover and set in warm place until double in bulk.

Punch down and let rise again. Shape into small rolls. When it rises again, shape into round 1/2-inch thickness. Put a spoonful of filling in center, fold points together and let rise. Bake at 375 degrees for about 20-25 minutes or until done.
