SPARKLING GRAPE PUNCH
The perfect punch for a crowd. Preparation Time: 5 minutes. Freezing Time: 24 hours. Makes 14 (6 oz.) servings. 1 (750 milliliters) bottle white varietal grape juice, such as Chenin Blanc or French Colombard 1 (750 milliliters) bottle sparkling white grape juice, such as Catawba, well chilled 1 (1 liter) bottle seltzer water, well chilled

FROZEN GRAPE RING:

Ice cubes
Red & green grapes
Strawberries
1/2 bottle white varietal grape juice, such as Chenin Blanc or French Colombard

Prepare grape ring a day ahead. To prepare, select a ring mold, preferably aluminum or plastic. Place a layer of ice cubes in the bottom, then arrange fruit on top of the ice, heaping and aligning as tightly as possible.

Fill the mold carefully with 1/2 bottle of grape juice. Carefully transfer mold to a level spot in the freezer and freeze until solid.

To remove the ice ring from the mold, hold the mold under slowly running cool water for a few seconds to loosen the ice, then invert onto a plate. Transfer, fruit side up, to the punch bowl.

Just before serving, combine the juices and seltzer water in a large chilled punch bowl. Carefully unmold the ring of ice and fruit and float it in the punch.
