CARAMEL CORN 
1 c. brown sugar
1 stick butter
1/4 c. dark corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. baking soda
3 qt. popcorn

Make popcorn. Mix first 4 ingredients in a 2 quart saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly. Do not over boil. Add vanilla and soda, one at a time, stirring after each.

Pour mixture over popcorn covering all kernels. Place in 9 x 13 inch cake pan. Bake 1 hour at 250 degrees. Stir 3 or 4 times. Remove from oven and place on brown paper. When cool, store in covered container.
