SALISBURY STEAK 
1 beaten egg
1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 lb. ground chuck
1 can golden mushroom soup
1 can water

Combine first 5 ingredients; add beef and mix well. Shape into 10 patties. Brown well on both sides. Pour off grease. Add mushroom soup and 1 can of water. Cook slowly until steak is done.

This is a good make-ahead dish for company. Can be frozen and reheated.
