SAUERKRAUT CASSEROLE 
8 oz. spiral macaroni
1 (1 lb.) can sauerkraut
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. butter
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Cook spirals. Strain sauerkraut; cook in cold water with salt and pepper for 30 minutes or until tender. Saute onion in butter. Drain cooked sauerkraut. Add onion, mushrooms, soup and mix with spirals. Stir until well blended. Place in greased casserole and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
