TEA COOKIES (VASARNAP TEA
KETSZERSUIT)
 
2 c. flour
Pinch of creamed of tartar
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. lard
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. raisins
1 beaten egg
Milk to mix

Sift dry ingredients; cut in shortening. Mix well. Add sugar, raisins, egg and enough milk to make stiff dough. Let rest in refrigerator for 1/2 hour. Roll out and cut with round cookie cutter. Bake on griddle on top of stove. Makes 2 dozen.
