YEAST-FREE PIZZA DOUGH
Making pizza dough the traditional way using yeast takes some planning so the dough can rise. This is not a traditional pizza crust, but if you're looking for a quick fix, this is it!

2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 cup milk
6 tbsp. olive oil

Preheat oven to 425°F.

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and stir well until the dough begins to form a ball and pull away from sides of bowl.

Knead dough by hand, while still in bowl, until smooth; then form a ball.

Press dough into an oiled baking sheet or pizza pan using your fingertips, leaving a thicker edge to hold fillings in.

Sprinkle with favorite toppings (sauce flavored with garlic, basil and oregano, Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, mushrooms, anchovies, black olives, onions, peppers, etc.).

Bake at 425°F for about 30 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and edges are golden brown.

I really liked this recipe. As it states "no yeast", "not a traditional pizza dough" - but if you want the quick fix... this is great. I added oregano and onion to the dough to give it more flavor. Next time I'll exchange the regular salt for garlic salt as someone had stated before.

Fantastic! I added some basil and rosemary. But I found that I only needed to bake for about 15 min. Perhaps I made it too thin. Delicious nonetheless.

It turned out really well, very tasty. I adored the thin crispy crust. I added some oregano, pepper and basil to the dry ingredients. I also ran out of oil so it has 1/2 tbsp. of butter and 1/2 tbsp. of margarine. 20 min in the oven. OMG! Awesome pizza crust! I topped that sucker with home-made primavera sauce, chicken, olives, and mozzarella. Totally Fits in to the season with the garden vegetables in the sauce. I would have loved to add fresh garlic to the crust and I will next time.

I added a little more olive oil while kneading. Added oregano butter and minced garlic. I used sea salt instead of regular salt. I baked dough for 5 minutes then put everything on it and baked it for 15 minutes. Very buttery and fluffy. Thank you!

We tried this recipe for the first time tonight and it was excellent! I used canola oil instead of olive oil since we were out but it turned out just right. We added fresh rosemary, marjoram, basil and oregano to the dough then baked it for 8 minutes before putting on the toppings and baking for an additional 20 minutes. We will definitely be making this again since it was tasty and easy to make. My husband's review was "yummmmm".

I was unaware I ran out of yeast and had pizza on the menu. This is good if you are in a pinch. It's a pizza biscuit.
