CHOCOLATE CHIP WHOLE WHEAT
COOKIES
 
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. shortening
2/3 c. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
3 c. whole wheat blend flour
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 pkg. (12 oz.) semisweet chocolate chips

Mix sugars, shortening, butter, vanilla and eggs in large bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees until light brown 8 to 10 minutes. Cool slightly. Remove from cookie sheet.
