COCONUT FROSTING 
3 egg whites, at room temperature
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. Crisco, at room temperature
1 lb. box 10X confectioners' sugar
1 can flaked coconut

Beat egg whites until stiff. Add salt, vanilla, and sugar. Beat until smooth. Mix in Crisco. Beat until smooth and fluffy. Add milk, a teaspoon at a time, if frosting does not spread easily. Frosting will ice a 3-layer cake. Sprinkle coconut on frosted layers, tops and sides.
