WHITE CHRISTMAS PIE 
1/4 tbsp. gelatin, unflavored
1/4 c. cold water
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. egg whites, about 4 eggs
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/2 c. cream, whipped
1 1/2 c. coconut

Make white sauce of flour, 1/2 cup of sugar and milk. Cook until thick. Stir in gelatin and let cool. When set beat until smooth. Beat egg whites until begins to stiffen. Add cream of tartar to egg whites. When egg whites start to stiffen, at 1/2 cup of sugar. Whip cream and add to gelatin mixture. Fold in egg white mixture and 1 cup coconut. Put in baked crust. Add 1/2 cup coconut to the top.
