SWEDISH COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 lb. butter
3 egg yolks
4 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. almond extract
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 lb. shelled pecans, halved

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks and mix well. Add flour, baking powder, almond extract, and vanilla. Chill dough for about 1/2 hour. Roll dough into small balls and place on baking sheets. Press a pecan half into each ball. Bake at 400 degrees for about 12 to 15 minutes.
