RASPBERRY SQUARES 
CAKE:

1 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. butter
1 egg
1 tbsp. milk
1/2 c. raspberry jam

TOPPING:

4 tbsp. butter
1 egg
1 c. sugar
4 oz. coconut
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift flour and baking powder in bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly. Beat egg slightly and stir into flour mixture along with milk; mix well. Spread dough over bottom of greased 8" square. pan. Cover with jam.

TOPPING: Melt butter. Beat egg until frothy then beat in sugar and butter thoroughly. Add coconut and vanilla. Spread on top of jam. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
