1 lb. Imperial butter 6 eggs, one at a time 1 tsp. vanilla or lemon juice 1 lb. box confectioner's sugar, sifted Sift cake flour and measure l pound by filling empty sugar package. Cream butter and sugar well. Add 6 eggs one at a time, beating well. Add vanilla and then flour gradually. Put in a well greased tube pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Reduce heat to 325 degrees for 10 minutes more or until done. FROSTING: 1/2 c. spry 1 c. granulated sugar, beat very well 1/2 c. butter, cream well Add 2/3 cup of hot milk, a tablespoon at a time. Then add 1 teaspoon of vanilla. |
