PENNSYLVANIA DUTCH APPLE PIE 
2 pie crusts
3 c. (heaping) thinly sliced tart apples
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
Butter
1/2 tsp. cinnamon (as desired)
1/2 tsp. nutmeg (as desired)

Chip butter about size of an egg over apples. Sprinkle sugar and spices over apples. Bake at 375 degrees for 60 minutes (or longer), until nicely browned. Be sure to perforate top crust to allow steam to escape.
