SOFT PRETZELS 
1 pkg. yeast
1 1/2 c. warm water
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
4 c. flour
1 egg (beaten)

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Mix in salt, sugar and flour to form dough. Roll dough and form pretzel shapes. Brush with egg. Sprinkle with coarse salt (optional). Bake at 425 degrees for 12-15 minutes on greased cookie sheet. (Makes 12.)
