6 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
2 unbeaten eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 cup dairy sour cream

Mix flour and baking soda together very well. Then beat shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla separate of the flour and the baking soda. Beat them well. Add nutmeg and sour cream with everything and mix it all together. Chill dough in refrigerator.

Roll dough on floured surface and cut to desired shapes. Bake at 350°F until light brown.
