GREEN BEANS SUPREME 
3 strips bacon
1 onion (slice thin)
2 tsp. cornstarch
1 can green beans
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. vinegar
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
dash salt and pepper

In heavy saucepan, fry bacon until crisp. Keep 2 tablespoons of the drippings and dispose of the rest. Crumble the bacon and reserve to garnish. Saute onion until lightly browned. Stir in mustard, cornstarch, salt and pepper. Drain 1/2 cup liquid off the beans. Pour into onion mixture. Stir until it comes to a boil. Blend in brown sugar and vinegar. Add beans and heat thoroughly. Sprinkle with the bacon.
