INDIVIDUAL BAKED ALASKA 
8 sm. round sponge cakes
8 sm. vanilla or chocolate Dixie cups
4 lg. egg whites (about 3/4 c.)
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
3/4 c. sugar

Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until frothy. Gradually add sugar. Continue beating until meringue is stiff and glossy. Place sponge cakes on baking sheet. Take frozen Dixies and remove ice cream from cups and place on cakes. Cover with meringue mixture, sealing in ice cream. Bake 3 to 5 minutes until meringue is delicately browned. Serve immediately. Enjoy.
