SPOON BREAD 
2 c. cornmeal
3 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
2 eggs
1 3/4 tsp. baking powder

Gradually stir 2 cups cornmeal into 3 cups of milk. Place on stove and let come to a boil, stirring constantly, until it is mush. Add salt, sugar, butter to that hot mush. Then add 2 well-beaten eggs and 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve from baking dish. Spoon out; serve with butter.
