HELEN AND GLENN'S POPCORN BALLS 
1 c. corn kernels
2 c. light corn syrup
2 tsp. vinegar
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. water

Pop the corn. Pour popcorn into large greased bowl.

Mix corn syrup, vinegar, sugar, salt and water. Cook to 240 degrees F. or until syrup collects in a mass and can be pushed into a soft ball between the thumb and forefinger when dropped into cold water. Cool slightly. Stir in desired food coloring.

Pour over corn, stirring to coat all kernels. Shape into balls. If balls do not form, wait 1 to 2 minutes.

For Halloween make 1/3 of the syrup green and 2/3 orange then form pumpkins with stems.
