CLEM'S DONUTS 
1/2 c. warm water
2 pkgs. dry yeast
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
3/4 c. warm milk
4 c. flour
1 c. raisins

Soak yeast in warm water 5 minutes. Then combine yeast, sugar, salt, nutmeg, shortening, eggs, milk and 2 cups of flour. Beat 2 minutes. Add the rest of flour and raisins. Set aside for 45 minutes.

Cook in hot grease, drop by spoonfuls. Let drain. Ice while warm. 1/2 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla
