CINNAMON APPLE CAKE 
1/4 c. fine dry bread crumbs
1 1/4 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 lb. butter, melted
3 apples, peeled, cored and cut into wedges
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. cinnamon

Sprinkle a buttered cake pan or cast iron skillet with the bread crumbs. Beat the eggs with 1 cup of the sugar until the mixture is thick and pale. Add the melted butter and the flour sifted with the baking powder and blend well. Pour this batter into the cake pan or skillet.

Dip the apples in the remaining sugar mixed with the cinnamon. Put the apples into the cake batter.
