PUMPKIN BREAD | |
3 c. sugar 1 c. oil (Wesson or Crisco) 4 eggs, beaten 1 lb. can pumpkin or 2 c. 2/3 c. water 3 1/2 c. flour 2 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. nutmeg 1 tsp. allspice 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. cloves Cream sugar and oil together. Add eggs and pumpkin; mix well. Sift together dry ingredients. Add dry ingredients alternately with water. Pour into 2 well greased and floured 9 x 5 inch pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or until it tests done. Let stand 10 minutes and remove from pans to cool. |
