MOM'S DATE AND NUT STUFF 
1 c. dates, chopped
1 c. pecans, chopped
2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
2 c. bread crumbs
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 c. milk
1 can coconut (optional)

Chop dates and pecans. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add baking powder and remainder of ingredients all at once. Mix well. Pour into a 9 x 134 inch baking pan (greased). Bake at 325 degrees or 350 degrees for 35 minutes. (Use butter.)
